Blogmas Day Two - Advent Calendars

This is the first year that me and Alan have decided not to have an Advent calendar each.  But just because we have decided not to, it does not mean that Mavis has to be deprived.

Every day after her morning walk she will get one little treat from her very own Advent calendar.  Happily, with the purchase of each of these calendars a small donation is made to Woodgreen Pets Charity, and as the programme 'The Dog House' is filmed there and is one of Mavis' favourite television programmes it seemed very appropriate.

Mavis December 2018 wearing her Christmas socks.

I'm guessing that there will be lots of doggy treats all around this Christmas.

    1. I know ... they are brilliant aren't they. I can't find them anywhere amongst our decorations for use this year. :-(

  3. Had lunch in our local garden centre last Friday. Whilst waiting in the queue to be served I noticed there was a small table nearby marked Christmas treats with an assortment of about six delicious looking wrapped cakes. It was then that I realised that this particular menu was for dogs!! Dogs are allowed in the cafe but only at the tables fatherest away from the servery.

    1. I love it when dogs are allowed in cafés ... and so does Mavis. When we take her to the café in Morecambe she usually has a puppiccino, it's a rare treat for her. Anywhere else she gets to share her Dad's bacon bun or the odd chip.

  6. Mavis looks cute with her Christmas Tree head band on. We have bought the Pooch & Mutt Advent calendar for Freddie. He pretends he is not interested in the treats until HE wants them and then has to throw the treat around before he eats it.

    1. Mavis is loving them, and gives them a proper chew for once instead of just gulping them down, so they must be tasty.

    1. It's an old photo of her, but a good one to share at this time of year. Her face is so much whiter now. ❤️
