Blogmas Day Eighteen - The Christmas To Do List

Alan's Christmas tree.

It's looking lovely, sadly this lighting didn't do it justice, but this year he's really got it so spot on.  Just full enough, just spaced out right and full of memories.

One of his little stocking fillers from me last year has pride of place.

As does this one.

Sadly, Mavis is an only dog this year, but we have happy memories of doggy festive fun with the two of them last year.

One of my favourite modern poets.

    1. It's a good one isn't it. I follow Brian on Facebook, he's pretty prolific. :-)

  2. The poem says it all! The tree looks lovely, we finally finished decorating ours yesterday. Not as stylish as yours but once it's dark and the lights are on it looks great. Regards Sue H

    1. Haha ... it really does doesn't it. I think my tree is more stylish than Alan's, but he's done well this year. Last year it looked as though he had been carrying the box of ornaments in and tripped up with them all flying onto the tree ... but I didn't tell him that! ;-)

  3. It’s good to have special ornaments and your two are lovely. I posted that poem the other day on my FB page and it seemed to strike a cord with lots of people. I like the one about the Christmas tree too. Catriona

    1. Yes, I share a lot of Brian's poetry on my Facebook page too. He's very readable, I think I have most of his books. The Christmas tree one is short but very sweet!

  7. Love the special ornaments on Alan's tree❤️ Since downsizing I don't have the room for my "memory tree" which has special memory decorations going back over the decadesπŸ˜” Great Christmas to do ListπŸ˜‰

    1. That's such a shame. Hopefully, you took some photos of it when it was last up. πŸ˜”

  8. I love special ornaments like those but my two year likes to well add his own artistic flair to them. He even drew on a very expensive kimono once in a store. I did not know were he got the pen from . Let’s just say a very sharpish exit was made!! I love poetry but It can take me ages to sit there and digest it
Same with haiku. I have to break it down

    1. He sounds like a future Banksy. πŸ˜„ It can take a while to 'get' some poetry, I always find if I'm struggling reading it aloud can really help.

  10. The "weird things I've found on the internet" bauble is hilarious. I've got a few girlfriends I've met through my blog, I bet they'd love one! xxx
