The worst thing is you don’t realise how much they loved you until they are no longer there to give you a hug. My dad’s birthday was in December too and I always remember we never did anything Christmassy until after his birthday - a tradition I continue. Peace and love to all. Sarah x

I'm late with my comments, but, that was a lovely tribute to your father and I really liked the poem (got me a bit teary). My own father died when I was seven so I have very few memories of him and he never got to see me grow up.
