Complaining ... my brain is full of complaints at the moment, the negativity surprises even me. Contrary to popular belief I'm not all Little Miss Sweetness and Light, I have been known to be Big Mrs Totally Pissed Off on thousands of occasions.
I don't tend to share lots of negativity on here, there are more than enough people doing that in blogland and on social media these days. But sometimes enough is enough and I have to take a step back and reassess my thoughts ... and on occasion my actions.
I'll be back tomorrow, hopefully in a better frame of mind. 😉
Sue xx
I find myself complaining how fed up I am with the weather at the moment. As it says above, I can't change it so have to accept it. It still feels okay to have a little moan about it though. We can't be all sweetness and light all the time or we wouldn't be human.
ReplyDeleteThere has definitely been a LOT of weather recently hasn't there, lots to complain about there. I think we just have to try and dress the part if we have to go out, and stay indoors whenever we can ... dreaming of Spring. :-)
DeleteOoof! You are so right!
ReplyDeleteHaha ... ooof indeed. Spellcheck hates that!! ;-)
DeleteWhat a super mug. Good for a nice hot mug of tea, comforting in this January weather.
ReplyDeleteIt's a good one isn't it. :-)
DeleteYour mug and the psychiatrist made me titter, so thank you for that, Sue. The first smile I've managed in a few days. I try not to moan about the weather - but I find these strong winds frightening, always wondering at the damage being caused and wishing I still had the support and strength of a man about the house. Ah well - maybe Spring will chase away those horrible storms - so much worse since they were given names, don't you think?
ReplyDeleteI had my first laugh of the last few days when my son rang me this morning, I can't even remember what he said now but we both burst out laughing. I knew he'd come in handy one day!!
DeleteSpring is just round the corner................somewhere!
ReplyDeleteThe snowdrops and daffodils agree with you, I think she's hiding from the wind.
DeleteGosh yes, bring on Spring, Please! Blardy hate winter. I had to give the Heating Engineer's bosses a gentle
ReplyDeletecomplaint yesterday - indeed, as per the top meme, "non-acceptance" it blardy well WAS. I spoke to them this morning and got my £120 bill reduced by £36. Better than nothing.
I think this weather and being trapped indoors (who wants to end up beneath a tree?) makes us nowty.
At least you got a bit of 'compensation' for your food, I bet it was worth more than that though. What a silly mistake for him to have made. I bet you'll check after any other workman from now on! Alan has spent quite a bit of time on recent dog walks trapped under a tree waiting for the hailstones to stop.
DeleteOh dear-you and I seem to be of a similar mind today! I’m now sitting reading some blogs and having a cup of Decaff coffee. I hope February brings lighter days and better weather as January has seemed truly endless. Catriona
ReplyDeleteI am imbibing all the caffeine that I can to keep me going, and have been doing all weekend. I'm as buzzy as a bee. :-)
DeleteBoy this post came during a time I’m allowing a trivial thing take up too much space in my mind - and it doesn’t feel good. Like the meme says, either accept it or leave the situation. Makes sense.
ReplyDeleteI think we ALL need a reminder sometimes don't we. It's so easy to get bogged down with things, especially at this gloomy time of year.
DeleteI like the mug, especially the "your approval is not required" bit. I get a bit sick of people telling me what I should be doing - well, what THEY think I should do.
ReplyDeleteThe scourge of social media and blogland is that people think because they 'know' a bit about you they know everything. These days so many think that their opinion is the only one that is right, without knowing the full story.
DeleteNegativity has had me in it's grip over the last few days. I've had to give myself a bit of a talking to. A phone call to British Gas this morning cheered me up no end though. The chap with a South African accent who answered very quickly and DID WHAT HE PROMISED TO DO.... INSTANTLY! restored my faith in human nature ☺️ Bless him!
ReplyDeleteYour mug is brilliant 👍

It's so good when a phone call to any 'organisation' goes smoothly and what you are enquiring about or asking for is actually managed and achieved. Good but sadly rare!!
DeleteI love that mug. The world seems to be full of negativity and I struggle with that and worry daily.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
It's was just a bit of fun. Yes we are living in very negative times, it's so easy to get bogged down by it. :-(
DeleteI don't like to complain, but, sometimes, it is very difficult not to.
ReplyDeleteI agree that sometimes you have to, and indeed it's right to. But keeping it to yourself, immediate family or just the organisation involved, rather than publishing to the world wide web is often a good idea.
DeleteI sympathize and relate!
ReplyDeleteIt would seem that a lot of us do. We are living in some very strange times and those of our generation have had to cope with such a lot of changes over the last forty or so years.
DeleteI thought of you yesterday as I zoomed past your turnoff on the M6 . . . there was a theoretical wave 👋 , I hope it reached you, xx
ReplyDeleteHope you have been able to restore some of your equilibrium, no-one can be Sally Sunshine 24/7.
I waved back ... or maybe that was me just scratching my nose and eating my dinner. ;-)
DeleteLike your mug, but not with the elephant. That is the symbol of Trump's party and he acts just that way. First time comment, but I like reading your blog. Enjoy your retirement! Jane Elaine
ReplyDeleteIt's not my mug, luckily, it's just a photo of a mug. And it was just a joke ... I shared it mostly for the 'grumpy old woman' part. 🫤
DeleteI'm that person who annoys everyone with my endless positivity! xxx
ReplyDeleteAnd that is never a bad thing. 😄
