This came up on my feed the other day and it really got me thinking.
I think it's all about the time of your life that you are in isn't it. It's also that some people need to be busy all the time, some people need to be seen to be busy all the time, there is a huge difference.
I was the former, then I was the latter, then I felt guilty for doing less, then the guilt stopped.
Now I would rather be on the porch drinking coffee.
Ooh ... should we build a porch on the bungalow? 😀
No, I think decking or a patio at the back would suffice.

ReplyDeleteCompletely agree. I still do too much sometimes and it caught up with me just before Christmas. A cold floored me and it may me rest, read and catch up on some recorded tv programmes. I saved the saying today and I’ll make myself look at it when I feel I have taken on too much. Catriona

ReplyDeleteA decent sized porch is high on my list of wantables, not that I'm likely to get one. Not necessarily enclosed, but a seat, place for wet umbrellas, for deliveries out of sight and in the dry. Morning sun is on the front of the house but I feel a bit conspicuous sitting outside the front door with my coffee! And roses growing around, of course!
