Ooh I wish I was artistic enough to be able to build something like this. But instead I will sit back and admire this photograph and then look at my own little tree and admire her too.
I bought us two Christmas crackers from the animal charity shop in Fleetwood a few months ago. They should have been 20p each but I gave £1 ... which still makes them a bargain to me. My intention was to find something tiny that suits us both to put in each of them for Christmas Day ... I need to get my act together and find those 'something tinies' as soon as possible. But if I run out of time there are always sweets to pop in instead.
We got the decorations down from the top bedroom in the house the other day, and discovered in the big plastic box half a dozen more crackers.
There will be a lot of pulling of crackers this year. 🎄
Happy Anniversary Alan ... we've been married for 18 years today. 💖
Sue xx

DeleteHappy anniversary to you both (Sandy mid wales)
ReplyDeleteThanks Sandy. xx
DeleteWishing you many more years of love, life and laughter together ❤️
ReplyDeleteThank you Angela. xx
DeleteHappy Anniversary!
ReplyDeleteI wonder how long that tree stood up for; 'I think I'd just like to read that book in the middle...' Or did they use glue?
Thank you. Yes, I wondered, it would take careful planning, and the use of books that you wouldn't want to read for a month. :-)
DeleteHappy Anniversary to you Sue and Alan, wishing you both many more happy years together. Jan in Castle Gresley
ReplyDeleteThank you Jan. xx
DeleteHappy Anniversary to you and Alan. You were married the year I retired!! All being well, we will be married exactly 3times the number of years on 24th of this month. Catriona
ReplyDeleteThank you. Wow, 54 years, that is a real achievement and one my parents were just a year away from reaching. We could never make it to that as this is my second marriage, and Alan's third. I got to 26 years the first time so we are just aiming to at least beat that. :-)
DeleteHappy Anniversary. You could always pull one of those many crackers to celebrate! It is our big one next year ...can't believe where time goes.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Nooo ... all the crackers are being saved for Christmas. ;-)
DeleteWhich big one is it for you next year?
Golden wedding...50 wonderful years!
DeleteOh wow ... well done to both of you, that is fantastic. :-)
DeleteI adore little trees like that - Pinterest and Instagram have a lot of answer for 🤣
ReplyDeleteHappy 'porcelain' anniversary, x
Thank you, yes, I knew it was porcelain, but only because Alan was thinking we were at 17 ... so we looked up what 18 was. :-)
DeleteA very happy anniversary to you both. I don't buy crackers anymore as with a lot of Christmas "extras"
ReplyDeleteI do love to see all the decorations and lights though. They cheer up the dark nights, don't they. X
Thank you . No we don't usually buy new ones, but a couple from the charity shop was a nice way to make a little donation. Gosh it has been so grey and dreary here in Lancashire for the last few months, all the decorations and lights are a happy diversion.
DeleteHappy Anniversary to you both. Hope you have a lovely day x.
ReplyDeleteThank you, we have just got back from going out for breakfast ... we know how to live it up. ;-)
DeleteHappy Anniversary to you both. Our local hospice charity shop has a book christmas tree in their window, very impressive.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I bet that looks lovely ... I hope no one wants to buy any of the books though. ;-)
DeleteHappy Anniversary to you both - have you planned Coffee and Cake at Booths for your celebration?
ReplyDeleteI saw a photo online of a very large tree made from knitted teddy bears that were being donated in the new year. Reminded me of a tree fashioed from knitted beanies one of my craft groups made one year.
Thank you. We went out for breakfast at Dobbie's and to claim December's free coffees, and then on to a 'new to us' Tesco in Preston to buy some biscuits for Mum's carers at the nursing home. We know how to live it up. ;-)
DeleteHappy Anniversary 🥳🪅 have a joyous day.
ReplyDeleteThank you. It would be even more joyous if it would stop raining for a few hours, gosh it's so dark and dreary here. :-)
DeleteHappy Anniversary! -Nancy
ReplyDeleteThank you Nancy. xx
DeleteHappy Anniversary to you both. I hope you have a really lovely day :)
ReplyDeleteThe book-y tree is wonderful, some people are so talented, aren't they.
Angie
Thank you Angie. Alan is currently fast asleep after a morning of eating breakfast at Dobbie's and buying biscuits at Tesco. Gosh the poor man leads a hard life!! ;-)
DeleteDoesn't he just! 🤣
DeleteHaha. :-)
DeleteHappy Anniversary to you both.
ReplyDeleteThank you. xx

Thank you Alison. xx
DeleteHappy 18th Wedding Anniversary, you should be gifting porcelain to each other or feather flowers! I just googled it. Xx
ReplyDeleteThank you. xx
DeleteWe should, but we didn't. I couldn't think of anything porcelain that we needed. :-)
Happy Anniversary to you both.
ReplyDeleteThank you. ♥️ xx
DeleteWishing you a wonderful Anniversary.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Thank you Jackie. ♥️ xx
DeleteHappy Anniversary! I like the book tree! It would have to be glued if one has pets who might want to climb on the stack of books, though!
ReplyDeleteThank you. Ooh .. I don't know if I could bring myself to do that. 😄
DeleteHappy Anniversary Sue & Alan.x
ReplyDeleteThank you. ♥️ xx
