I do love old china, and if it's in shades of green and white and displayed on antique lace cloths or doilies I seem to love it even more.
As my modern plates and dishes break I am instead replacing things with charity shop finds, gorgeous old china that doesn't necessarily match anything I already own, but that is simply pretty in it's own right.
I like this beautiful old kitchen, but even more than that I LOVE the wallpaper. What a gorgeous statement in a very rustic looking room.
And to end each day in this lovely bedroom must be wonderful. I even quite like the pinkness of this room, muted as it is slightly by all the little green touches. I'm actually letting my bedroom get more and more girly, mismatched ... and yes green, as time goes by.

Do drop in if you are passing, and visit my green kitchen and sit in my green lounge. I too am going green in old age
ReplyDeleteIt sounds perfect. 💚
DeleteGreen is a perfect backdrop in any room in the house, most of my rooms have green in their décor.
ReplyDeleteI painted our bedroom green last year and it’s such a calming shade. Se green tiles in the bathroom also chisen by me. I think pale green and pale pink is a lovely combination. Catriona
ReplyDeleteBlue and white for me; I think it's from memories of my Oma's willow pattern set.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I think I could be at peace in any of those rooms 💚
ReplyDeleteGreen is such a restful colour. I too love the green/pink combination. Lovely pictures.

Oh I love old china and lace and doilies as well. Love a green and white but blue and white are my favorite.
ReplyDeleteI really liked the title of your blog and decided to become a friend to learn new things!
ReplyDeleteIndeed, the rooms in the photos are wonderful!!
I love old china and glass, and have a fair few pieces. I also love the colour green, but to me its a nature colour, so I have lots of houseplants, but won't paint anything green. But my daughter loves the colour and lots of her rooms are painted green. Xx
ReplyDeleteThat kitchen looks so homely and inviting. The cold and clinical look really doesn't do it for me.
ReplyDeleteI find pink and green very refreshing. May the creep continue. I've recently moved into the nearest thing to a cottage I'm going to find in Canada and all my old china is on display. I'm going for the cottage core look although some people (who may or may not have my DNA) insist on calling it granny core.
ReplyDeleteBlue and white here. I only buy used glasses. I figure there is enough glasses and mugs in the world that will see me out.
ReplyDeleteI will admit to a weakness for old german wine glasses with the green stems.
Green is peaceful. Marjorie in Canada
ReplyDeleteI have a blue and white china and bits on my dresser and I love it!
ReplyDeleteI like pink and green and have a pink and green wallpaper border in my bedroom. Someone commented that wallpaper borders were out of style now, but, I don't care. I like it and that's what matters. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful china and linens.
ReplyDeleteI use my vintage Manor Green Denby every day, and old, embroidered linen tray cloths for large napkins. The linen tablecloths have been repurposed as soft bath towels, especially in winter when they are so easy to dry. Linen gets ironed straight from the washing machine and hung on the clothes airer.
Pink and green is one of my favourite combinations. Gorgeous Images.
ReplyDeleteI really like the look of that bedroom. I'm sure I could relax in there!
