It sounds good doesn't it.
Although I think now that Autumn is here, rather than being barefoot I would like some big padded slippers that look like hobbit feet to keep my toes warm. 😁
Sorry that's it for today, we are off to see my Mum.
She was rushed into hospital this week with a twisted bowel and had to have an emergency procedure, she is currently still on drips and oxygen, and waiting to be allowed to go back to her care home. Fingers crossed.
Sue xx
So sorry to read about your Mum, love to you all, xx
ReplyDeleteThank You. xx
DeleteOoh that sounds painful, poor Mum. I hope she's feeling much better and able to go home soon. Xx
ReplyDeleteShe was in a lot of pain on Wednesday when we were there, but that pain has mostly gone now. Unfortunately, she's having trouble breathing at the moment.
DeleteLove and prayers winging your way - for your Mum as she recovers, and for you and Alan as you have extra travelling
ReplyDeleteThank You. It's not that much further to be honest, about an extra ten minutes onto our usual journey to the care home, but via a different route.
DeleteAll the best to your mum. Maeve xx
ReplyDeleteThank You. xx
DeletePass on good wishes from all your blog readers to your Mum. Hope she recovers well
ReplyDeleteI will tell her, thank you. xx
DeleteSafe journey and hope your Mum is having a pain free recovery. Catriona
ReplyDeleteThe pain has mostly gone now, but there are other complications. Thank you for your good wishes. xx
DeleteWishing your Mum well, thinking of you too, take care. Regards Sue H
ReplyDeleteThank you on both counts. We are in a permanent state of exhaustion and have been for the last 18 or more months, but we are doing are best. xx
DeleteOh how frightening for you. I hope your mum makes a speedy recovery! And yes the hobbit life sounds lovely esp with that picture it looks so inviting. Safe journey to ya mum. Take care
ReplyDeleteMore frightening for Mum really, but I know what you mean. The twice weekly journey is now almost automatic, and the motorways are terrible that we have to use. We have done well to survive and stay relatively sane!!
DeleteYour poor mother - sounds very painful. Good wishes for her recovery.
ReplyDeleteThe hobbit feet look extremely comfortable . . . 😁
She was in a lot of pain, and as she is now classed as 'without capacity' to make decisions myself and my brother had to make the decision for her to have the procedure. Thank you for your good wishes. xx
DeleteI hope your mother is recovering well and you have a safe journey as you go to see her and return home.
ReplyDeleteThank You. xx
DeleteSorry to hear about your mum and hoping she is mending well now, and will be out of hospital soon.
ReplyDeleteWe are not hopeful to be honest, but you never know. xx
DeleteThinking of your mum and hoping for decent recovery. And you, too. I know this kind of trauma takes a toll on you as well. x
ReplyDeleteThe whole of the last 18 months has taken it's toll on myself, Alan and my brother. Possibly this is why we seem to be eating out more and more at the moment. Having someone else make us coffee and meals seems like even more of a treat. I have only just realised this!!
DeleteSafe trip. Best wishes for your mums recovery. JennyP
ReplyDeleteOh it's a twice (at least) weekly trip, which we are well used to unfortunately. Thank you for your good wishes. xx
DeleteSorry to hear about your mum hope she recovers quickly, unfortunately my lovely mum passed away on the 1st September. Heather
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear this Heather. Sending you all my love. I hope you are coping and looking after yourself as much as you possibly can. xx
DeleteThe feet slippers are great fun.
ReplyDeleteThinking of you all, sounds like a difficult time x

I think I would actually break my neck if I actually wore them though. :-)
DeleteThank you. xx
All the very best to your mum for a good recovery and to yourselves for a safe journey. x
ReplyDeleteShe came through the procedure which is good, as it was a 50/50 chance of it killing her, not doing it was a 100% chance of that outcome, so that was good news. We are well used to the journey, and to be honest it rarely feels safe!! But thank you for your good wishes, they are appreciated. xx
DeleteOh dear ... that doesn't sound good at all. I can't imagine what brings that on. Good recovery wishes for your Mum.
ReplyDeleteFrom what her consultant says it is getting to be more and more common amongst the frail and elderly. The procedure Mum had has been developed to help those that cannot withstand a general anaesthetic or an operation.
DeleteSorry to hear about your mum's health issues. I hope she is comfortable and on the mend.
ReplyDeleteShe is more comfortable, but is still having trouble breathing at the moment. xx
DeleteSorry to hear about your mum, I hope all went well with the op and she is now on the mend
ReplyDeleteIt was a procedure rather than an operation as she was deemed too poorly for an anaesthetic or an operation. She is still poorly, but looking a bit brighter. xx
DeleteHope your Mom is on the mend and all went well with her operation. Love those slippers.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
The procedure went well, and she looks a bit brighter. xx
DeleteWishing all goes well with mum .
ReplyDeleteThank You. xx
DeleteAll the best to your mum.
ReplyDeleteThank You. xx
DeletePrayers for your Mum.
