It's been a lovely Bank Holiday weekend, the highlight of which was a visit from my grandson and his fiancée who have a small tourer caravan on a nearby farm. It was their first visit to it this year and for this time they had two little boys with them. Our newest great-grandson Marley and his big brother Finley who himself is only twenty months old.
Alan had a great time playing on the patio in the lovely sunshine that we had on Sunday, and I enjoyed great-nana cuddles with the youngest member of our family, who is now almost three weeks old.
Ellie shared a photo of an exhausted Finley fast asleep at the caravan as soon as they got back, and I was tempted to send her a photo because when I went into Alan's living room to show him ... he was fast asleep too!!
I hope you have all had a good weekend and that for once the British weather has smiled on all of us, although it has gone decidedly chilly now, so much so that my central heating has just come on and it's set at 15 degrees.

I'm not surprised that Alan fell asleep after playing! Young children always seem to have more energy than us don't they. The boys look lovely and I do envy your great-nana cuddles, he's so sweet :)
ReplyDeleteYes, it's gone cold here too. We've just come back from a very cold and windy garden centre visit. Glad to be back too!

Alan loves playing with little ones, but they wear him out a lot quicker these days. Thank goodness biggest brother Mason wasn't here too, Alan would have been comatose. 😄
DeleteMy relation who is a Great Grandma is called GiGi by the children, which I think sounds very stylish. I doubt I will see any great-grandchildren.
ReplyDeleteThat is lovely, I've always been Nana Sue to the grands and the great-grands. Not quite as stylish. 😀
DeleteWhat a sweet photo - in fact what sweet photos!
ReplyDeleteThey are both very photogenic, and the lovely sunny day helped. ❤️
DeleteAww, baby cuddles are the best.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
They really are aren't they, especially that first one ❤️
DeleteI too am Nana to granddaughters. I got to choose!
ReplyDeleteHow did you chose?
DeleteAw the photos of the boys are so precious😍 Lovely to see the sunshine in your garden 🌞
ReplyDeleteIt makes the world of difference when the sun comes out doesn't it. 😀🌞
DeleteHow lovely to be visited by your grandson and great-grandsons!
ReplyDeleteIt was a good morning. 😀

DeleteHappy family times, very precious. I'm looking forward to having grand children one day, if my son gets a move on, ha ha.
ReplyDeleteMy son definitely got a move on, I was a Nana at 39 and then thanks to my eldest grandson, a Great-Nana at 58. Talk about making me feel my age!!
DeleteGosh, you did start grannying young! I was 72 before Rosie came along, but she is adorable and worth waiting for. Lovely to see your great grandsons and the weather was perfect for their caravan holiday.
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, they are ALWAYS worth waiting for ❤️ It’s not as though I had my eldest particularly young either, I was almost 21 and had been married for three years before he came along. 😀
DeleteReally lovely!
ReplyDeleteAww, thank you. xx
