    1. She really is isn't she. I should sit down and read right through her books, instead of just dipping into them every now and then.

  2. Yes! And yet trying to explain all this to anyone younger is almost impossible.
That's a dreamy book corner. Xx

    1. It really is almost impossible, it would seem that we are all programmed to make our own mistakes and go through virtually the same processes on our way through life.

  3. I heard someone say 'I know what it is like to be your age, but you have no idea what it is like to be my age'. Very true. He was a father speaking to his 18 year-year old.

    1. That is so very true, and somehow the young do not seem to appreciate that. You get the same 'but it's different now' response nine times out of ten.

  4. Oh Sue you do post some wonderful things! There is always something to take from them. Today, “getting older is being given the gift of time”. So next time I’m whinging about my aches and pains, grumbling that everything is taking me longer now, I will give myself a talking. Also to remember I have been given a gift that my Dad, Mum and sister were never given. Thanks Sue.

  6. It's very true - getting older is a privilege denied to many and it is a gift of time. :)

    1. Exactly, we should all be appreciative whilst we are here. xx

  7. That is so true. My Mum died tragically at 28 leaving my Dad with three children under the age of 7 one a baby under a year old. I am now 75 and consider every day a privilege and blessing. Never take anything for granted. Regards Sue H
