I took Alan's lunch round to him at the bungalow yesterday and discovered him just finishing off doing this in my bedroom ... I think he is making me a padded cell. I know I can be a bit wacky at times, but am I really that bad? π
This weekend we are out to choose the floor tiles for the bungalow, yes we go to all the exciting places!!
We have been deliberating for a long time on which ones we want as they are covering the main room, the hallway, my bedroom and both bathroom floors, and as is usually the way with me I have come full circle and we are going for the ones that I chose way back at the start of the kitchen design process. Sometimes you have to trust your gut instinct and just go with it.
Hope you all have a lovely weekend. π

Good insulation will make such a difference on cold winter days. Definitely worth the investment
ReplyDeleteThis is an interior wall, the other walls have the heavy duty insulation shown on the video the other day. This is mostly for cancelling out sound as I'll be having a television against that wall. π
DeleteYou’re going to be as snug as a bug in a rug! Looking forward to seeing the tiles. Catriona
ReplyDeleteIt will be quite a while until we see them down, we've just arranged for the screeding to be done in July. Then it will be underfloor heating, then more screeding and only then will the tiles make an appearance. π
DeleteHard flooring is the way to go, in my opinion. Hoovering carpet is hard work in comparison to hoovering a laminate floor.
ReplyDeleteThe only room with carpet will be Alan's bedroom, but that's what he wants. I like living with tiles and rugs. π
DeleteIf choosing floor tiles is anything like the deliberations we had over wall tiles for the shower room then I can sympathise with you.
ReplyDeleteIts been very backwards and forwards up to now. π«€
DeleteI’m a tiles and rugs person too, it’s nice that you can both have what you likeπ
ReplyDeleteRice is such a great staple isn’t it, although we eat a bit more pasta these days I do love the versatility of rice.

I seem to have switched from being addicted to pasta to being addicted to rice. π π
DeleteI also love finishing a container! There's something very satisfying about it.
ReplyDeleteIt's one of life's little pleasures. π
DeleteThere really is something so special about finishing a container, washing it and refilling.
ReplyDeleteHope the tile hunt goes well.
God bless.
I love refilling these jars especially, knowing that there's so many potential meals in there. π
DeleteUsually my first choice ends up being the right one when it comes to these types of things (:
ReplyDeleteSometimes you just have to choose your first instinct don't you. π
DeleteLooking forward to seeing the tiles. I hope you remain pleased with your choice as they are covering a lot.
ReplyDeleteI think that's why we are having a bit of a dither with the choosing. Investing that much money in such a permanently visible part of the bungalow is daunting. We can't afford to get it wrong. π«€
DeleteWe eat a lot of rice at our house. I get a bit panicky when the container of rice gets low!
ReplyDeleteI think I would be the same, unless of course the pasta jar was full, then I could sort of cope. π
