Sunday, Beautiful Sunday

A gorgeous cottage.

Which I think is slightly reminiscent of the fake cottage used in the Christmas film 'The Holiday'.  I was so disappointed when I found out that it wasn't actually real.  The set was beautiful.  😟

A lovely kitchen.

Old books, and china in shades of blue.

Although I have the urge to 'iron' that wall ... and those of you that know me well, know that I don't iron anything!!  😄

And finally a pretty cup, which reminds me it's time to get and get another cup of coffee before we hit the road.

Hope you have a lovely Sunday.

Sue xx

  2. Is that wall covered in blue and white tiles?

    1. I can't make out if it's tiles or paper, but it looks a bit too 'crumpled' for me. 😄

  4. What a pretty cottage and I love the kitchen, but the grey would have to go! I'd grow something up that bare fence you'd see when washing up too. I think the table is Elm. Lovely anyway.

    1. Replacing the grey with a lovely soft green would make it absolutely perfect. 💚

My Ercol furniture is all Elm, it's a beautiful wood isn't it. ❤️

  5. I found a YouTube channel that talks about all the amazing houses in movies. They cover this house (The Holiday) and Meg Ryan's house in "You've Got Mail" and many more. It's a great channel and I love seeing all the lovely decor and getting ideas from their style.

    1. I would love a small country cottage, Alan wants a modern bungalow. All we need to do is find the perfect compromise. :-)

    1. It shows us not all flowers have to live in a vase. ❤️

  10. Lovely pictures. I collect blue and white china and books; but, I'm in the process of decluttering some of my collection.

    1. Decluttering, but keeping the absolute favourites can be so liberating can't it. 😀
