A gorgeous cottage.
Which I think is slightly reminiscent of the fake cottage used in the Christmas film 'The Holiday'. I was so disappointed when I found out that it wasn't actually real. The set was beautiful. 😟

A lovely kitchen.
Old books, and china in shades of blue.
Although I have the urge to 'iron' that wall ... and those of you that know me well, know that I don't iron anything!! 😄
And finally a pretty cup, which reminds me it's time to get and get another cup of coffee before we hit the road.
Hope you have a lovely Sunday.
Sue xx
Ah... we can dream....
ReplyDeleteWe can indeed. ❤️ xx
DeleteNow, that's a kitchen I could get lost in, xx
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous as well as practical isn't it. 😀
DeleteIs that wall covered in blue and white tiles?
ReplyDeleteI can't make out if it's tiles or paper, but it looks a bit too 'crumpled' for me. 😄
DeleteI could smell the scent of the rose in the teacup…bliss. June
ReplyDeleteI love the simplicity of a single gorgeous flower. 🌹
DeleteWhat a pretty cottage and I love the kitchen, but the grey would have to go! I'd grow something up that bare fence you'd see when washing up too. I think the table is Elm. Lovely anyway.
ReplyDeleteReplacing the grey with a lovely soft green would make it absolutely perfect. 💚
DeleteMy Ercol furniture is all Elm, it's a beautiful wood isn't it. ❤️
I found a YouTube channel that talks about all the amazing houses in movies. They cover this house (The Holiday) and Meg Ryan's house in "You've Got Mail" and many more. It's a great channel and I love seeing all the lovely decor and getting ideas from their style.
ReplyDeleteI'll look out for that, thanks. 😀
DeleteI love the pics and the comments from other readers too
ReplyDeleteAlison in Devon x
I do too. ❤️❤️ xx
DeleteLovely images Sue. I'm hoping for a country house when we move.
ReplyDeleteI would love a small country cottage, Alan wants a modern bungalow. All we need to do is find the perfect compromise. :-)
DeleteI love the roses in the cup-so calming and I could almost smell them. Catriona
ReplyDeleteIt shows us not all flowers have to live in a vase. ❤️
DeleteI have had a pretty lovely Sunday. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
I'm so glad to hear that. ❤️
DeleteLovely pictures. I collect blue and white china and books; but, I'm in the process of decluttering some of my collection.
ReplyDeleteDecluttering, but keeping the absolute favourites can be so liberating can't it. 😀
