I realised after answering a question from Bovey Belle yesterday, that there may be many more of you, especially all my newer readers, who may have questions about various things that I post regularly about.
BB had asked me specifically about non-food item shopping and did I buy it separately from the food. I forgot to answer part of your question ... yes, I am using mostly frozen vegetables at the moment, alongside tinned vegetables.
Anyway, I thought I would do a very quick lazy post encouraging anyone that wants to, ask any questions that they have been wondering about in the comments section, and within reason I will answer them all there.

I am adopting 'selective participation ' to replace 'lazy' from now on!
ReplyDeleteSnap 😄
DeleteI like 'selective participation,' too.
ReplyDeleteHaha, it is very good isn't it. :-)
DeleteI use the expression 'I'm not being lazy I'm in energy saving mode' but I like the 'selective participation' one too lol. There's also the classic Phoebe from Friends one 'oh I wish I could but I don't want too' or the very simple 'nope not today' response.
ReplyDeleteI love funny sayings lol 😂😂
I think Phoebe's is actually the best, and suits me perfectly!!
DeletePost rather a large lunch I'm trying to think of an intelligent question to ask........but it's not happening 😉😀 think I'm heading for a lazy afternoon!
ReplyDeleteLove the meme
Alison in Devon x
Don't worry about it, if there are no questions, there will simply be no answers. :-) I hope it was a very nice lunch. :-)
DeleteSelective deafness is very useful. DH lost his keys again and wanted me to join in his panic.
ReplyDeleteI've managed to get Alan used to dropping his keys into a bowl on his radiator shelf. Now he only has to look for his phone ... 🤔
DeleteSelective participation is a wonderful phrase and I shall be using it muchly in the future. Catriona
ReplyDeleteMe too. 😀
DeleteAfter a run of demands on my time I’ve started saying - “Sorry that’s not part of my self-care programme”
ReplyDeleteBy the time they’ve finished laughing at the apparent pomposity of the phrase I’ve gone.
Haha, that is brilliant. 😀
DeleteSelective participation!!! I love it. Okay silly question, why are buns called baps in the UK? I have always wondered.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
It's a regional thing, but weirdly spread out over many far flung regions. From down South where we used to live to over the border in some areas of Scotland. A bap is traditionally a soft bread roll.
DeleteIt's interesting to read how each person shops. I budget separately for groceries (which I define as food for the humans, including treats and snacks), for pet supplies, and for household & toiletries (paper towels, foil, dishwashing detergent, laundry detergent, soap and shampoo, etc.) I just like to see how much I spend on feeding myself and my daughter.
ReplyDeleteI've only ever separated out my food budget when I used to do challenges, such as £1 per day for food, eat for a day for the price of a cup of coffee etc. Otherwise I lump everything together to keep things simple. 🙂
